The Philadelphia chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French
On Wednesday, November 13, ten members of the AATF Rendez-vous des Retraités group met at the Caribou Café in Philadelphia to hear Fulbright grantee Pierre Ricard Pognon discuss the fascinating history, culture, political situation and problems of his native Haïti. Pierre is currently a MS Health Informatics graduate student at Temple University. We thank him for his informative, enthusiastic, and articulate comments. Thanks also to Frances Novack for inviting him to speak with the group.
The Rendez-vous des Retraités group was established last year by the Philadelphia chapter of the AATF to engage those who have left the profession and provide opportunities to meet, to learn and to enjoy the company of those with common interests and passions. The group meets bi-monthly during the academic year and welcomes all French teachers. If you are interested in joining, please send your contact information (email address, home address and phone number) to Emily Wagner at email@example.com and check out the Rendez-vous des Retraités page on the AATF website (https://www.aatf.site/)
Get-togethers for 2020 are scheduled for January 15, March 18, and May 20. Ideas for speakers, locations and activities are most welcome !
