Part-Time Elementary French Teacher

Buckingham Friends School seeks a new Part-Time Elementary Teacher beginning in

September 2020. This half-time, 10-month position, includes responsibility for the

curriculum and teaching of all aspects of an introductory French program to students in

the Kindergarten through Third grades; working closely with and maintaining positive

and effective relationships with two other world language teachers and Lower School

colleagues; developing and implementing curricula; communicating regularly and

effectively with parents; writing progress reports and maintaining student records; and

advancing the School’s mission as a Friends school, aligning with the School’s core

values and philosophy, and actively supporting the School’s strategic plan. The

successful candidate will have experience teaching French at the early childhood and/or

lower school levels, a background in curriculum development, and a demonstrated track

record of contributing to their former school(s), community, and culture. Experience
